My Story Was Featured In One Of URMAKER's Videos

Well guys, I'm pretty excited! My story was featured in one of URMAKER's videos!

Here is URMAKER's Video

Here is the transcript of my story.
I grew up in this very small Midwestern community out in the middle of the country. It was really an awesome area to grow up in because of the environment. Woods and creeks surrounded the whole area, and growing up there I spent a lot of time out in these woods. This area I grew up in was rumored to be haunted because of the old cemetery that was at the edge of this town, but this is not what this story is about…

It was around 2001, I was about 16 at this time. It was the right around the beginning of October and my next door neighbor, who was around 10 or so at the time was having a Halloween / birthday party and he had several other kids over from his grade. As part of the festivities, they were planning on taking a hayride through the woods. I thought it would be fun to try and scare them while they were on this ride, so as they were about to leave, I slipped away and went down to the woods. It was about 9:30 PM at this time and it was very dark outside. I made my way into the woods and decided I was going to hide under the side of the large bridge that crossed the creek, so I climbed down the railing and stood on the cement platform below to wait. Now I had been waiting in this spot for around 10 minutes. I was watching for the truck’s headlights to come down the road so I could get into position. As I am watching down the road, I see a man walk out of the woods and onto the side of the road. I could not tell exactly what he was doing as he was probably about 75 feet of so away from me and it was really dark in the woods that night. I found it odd that the guy did not have a flashlight or anything, but then again neither did I… After about 20 seconds or so, the guy turned around and walked back into the woods… I didn’t think he had seen me because I had been in my location for a good 10 minutes before I ever saw him, I didn’t feel too threaten either because in order to get to me he would have had to cross the bridge or the water to sneak up on me. I stayed in my spot for another couple of minutes and watched the area where the guy went back into the woods. I never did see any light and he soon disappeared deeper into the woods.

After a few minutes, I decided it would probably be best to get out of there. I quietly climbed out from under the bridge and made my way out of the woods and back to the party. I didn’t think anyone else had gone out there to scare the kids besides me. I clearly saw the silhouette of this man, and his appearance was much different than anyone's at the party, tall and decently built. When I got back I asked my neighbor’s parents if anyone else was out in the woods to scare the kids during the hay ride and they said no. When the kids returned, I asked the guy driving the truck about it, and they saw no such person… So I just saw a man walk out of a dark woods only to re-enter it… It was creepy, but I never felt I was in much danger as I’m pretty sure he never saw me.

So a couple days later I am out in the woods with my buddy from down the street, during the daytime though this time. We were near the area where I saw this guy and we find this post that has been buried in the ground and on top of it are three animal skulls. The are pretty large skulls too, appearing to be that of a dog or possible a deer. The post was in the center of a star with a circle around it made from animal bones.  Clearly someone had spent some time building this. But it gets even scarier, a short ways away from this post was a dead goat. It had a rope tied around it’s neck and its throat had been cut. My friend and I knocked down the post and left. While it was obviously a very disturbing thing to find, I guess we didn’t think too much of it, because this area has had its fair share of oddities because of the rumors about it being haunted and we assumed it was just some people trying scare people and create a good story.

Now jump ahead a few weeks. I was usually out at night a fair amount, my friend and I like to ride our bikes around the streets at night and talk, and on this particular night we noticed a group of four  people walking around the streets. They were wearing all black. We acknowledged them, but they didn’t say anything back. It was odd, but whatever. We saw them a couple of other times that week too, just being creepers.

Now here is the scariest part of all, and I need to be completely honest, I can’t remember if this event happened this same week or it was a couple of weeks later after we saw these people on the streets, but I know it was around this time because my friend moved away shortly after this happened and I know it was closely related to this time period. My friend as the oldest of 6 kids and he had a sister who was 12 at the time who shared a bedroom with her 3 year old sister. One night around 2 or 3 in the morning she heard a noise by the doorway of her bedroom. She rolled over to look and standing in the doorway was a guy wearing all black. She started screaming and the guy immediately took off. Her parents bedroom would directly across the hall from hers and they came. When they went into the living room, the front door was wide open. Someone had definitely been in their house… They looked outside but couldn’t find anyone. I assume they slipped into a nearby house or the woods which was a short distance away.

I don’t know their intent, but I have a pretty good idea… I know there was occult activity that went on out there in those woods...

This story happen in 2002.

How To Build a Deadfall Trap

I had a lot of fun building my snare trap, I decided to return to the woods and show you how to build a deadfall trap. This video is only for  demonstration purposes. I did not leave this trap up, nor did I try to catch an animal with it. In the event of a survival situation, you could use a trap similar to this one to help procure food if needed. Thanks for watching guys!

The Closest I Have Come To Dying

The closest I ever came to dying was on June 12, 1998. I was 12 years old at the time and my parents and I were returning home from town when the weather turned ugly. Here in Indiana, the weather can turn ugly very quick. We were in the middle of the country as sky got incredibly dark. Several clouds started dropping closer to the ground. At the beginning, it was pretty exciting, this would be the first time any of us had ever seen a tornado in real life. Soon though, three clouds touched the ground and formed three small tornadoes that seemed to dance around each other for about 5 seconds. At this point we are probably about 2 or 3 miles away from these tornados and had an incredible view of the events that were unfolding. Soon however the 3 tornados formed into one giant super tornado and begin moving in our direction. The tornado looked to be about half a mile wide now. My dad was driving, and by this time we were going pretty fast as we were trying to make it to my grandparents house about 5 miles away. I was in the back seat and had turned to watch as the tornado was getting closer and closer. I could see the tornado tearing apart a small woods we had recently passed. We were very close to my grandparents house now, about a mile, but the tornado was even closer to our car now, less at half a mile. All of a sudden, we could hear the sound of the tornado you always hear people talk about. It was kind of like a train and a tea kettle going at the same time. I remember my dad asking yelling "where is it?", and I yelled "it's right behind us!" As we went around a 90 degree bend in the road, I watched as the tornado entered into the subdivision that was parallel  to our car. I will always remember seeing the full roof of a house being ripped off and flying in the air. We wound up behind a police car that was driving slowly through town with it's sirens on, we went around it and continue to my grandparents house. We slid into their driveway and headed to their storm shelter in the back yard. My grandparents were already the shelter and we basically jumped into the 8 foot deep cement bunker and pulled the door closed. Within 10 seconds you could hear the destruction taking place outside. It seemed to only last for 15 seconds or less and then it was quiet. When we came out of the shelter we were happy to see my grandparents house was still there. Their neighbors were not as lucky though and many had significant damage. My grandparents had this huge tree in there found yard, it had a trunk that was at least 3 feet in diameter. It had fallen towards our car and missed it by mere inches. I remember how quiet it was after that, but soon the quietness was filled with the sound of chainsaws as people began trying to clear the streets and help their neighbors. The power was out for a few days, and I remember generators were sold out everywhere. The subdivision I saw the tornado hit was devastated as was a local school and many parts of the town. The tornado was rated as an F3 and was measured at 800 meters wide.  Had we been 30 seconds slower, I don’t think we would have made it... It was probably one of the scariest most exhilarating moments of my life.

Make Your Beard Grow Faster

So I have been growing my beard back for one week now, and I want to grow it back as fast as possible. I remember when I tested out peppermint essential oil, it had been shown to help a beard grow fuller, thicker, faster. I thought what better time to test it than now? Since I had pictures from the time lapse when I was growing it before, I thought I would start applying it to my face and compare the pictures from my last growth cycle to this ones to see if it really does work.

So I have been applying it for one week now and here are the results.

Now, I have grown my beard out to one week several times in my life and I certainly notice a difference. My beard already seems to be darks and longer than where it normally is at this point.

So the science behind this is when you apply peppermint oil to your face, it gives you this nice refreshing tingling feeling. That tingling feeling is actually increasing the blood flow to your face, and getting more nutrients to your hair follicles. It also helps to awaken dormant follicles. That is why you produce a fuller, thicker, faster growing beard. Scientific studies have also shown that it is more effect than 3% Minoxidil. Now I haven't used Minoxidil, but I know several others of you have, and if you have before and it didn't work for you, peppermint essential oil may.

Well I am excited and encouraged by what I have seen so far and will continue testing it to see if it will help me to grow my beard back faster. Stay tuned for future updates!

How To Build A Ground Snare

I thought it would be fun to learn how to make a ground snare trap, just in case I were to ever find myself in a survival situation, I would have a bit of knowledge on how to. Here is the tutorial on the trap I made. I hope you enjoy it. Don't worry, no animals were harmed in this video and the trap was torn apart after I finished film. This was just for fun.

How To Remove A Broken Headphone Jack

Okay, today I'm just going to show you the quickest way I've ever found to remove a headphone jack from an iPad. So if you look right here, you can see I have a headphone jack in there. I found one of the easiest things to do is to get an old BIC pen and tear it apart so look similar to the ink part right here. Then you can get some of this sticky tack for like hanging posters and whatnot.
Also if you don't have this you can try chewing gum,  I've done that as well but basically you take that tack and you stick it into the hole of this pen. This is that the ink portion from the pen so you have to tear the pen apart. Sometimes you can use coffee straws too. They  work pretty good.

Then you're just going to tear the excess off of this straw so all the sticky tack is in the hole and the outside is clean. Next thing you'll do is you'll take the pen and you'll stick it in to the hole where the jack is and you pull out quickly.  There you have it, it is now clear so I pulled that out pretty quick that time. They're not always that quick sometimes you have to do a little extra work. So if you have either a tiny pair of needle nose pliers or some tweezers or even a small little flathead screwdriver, those headphone jacks have a casing around the outside here.

What you want to try to do is stick that in there but you need to be careful not to damage it. There's a little plastic casing around here so you don't wanna scrape
that too much. What you want do it to get in there and you want to try to scrape against this headphone jack get that casing off. Every headphone jack I've ever taken apart, it kind of has a casing that goes up and then there's a smaller part. That smaller part is what fits right into that pen and that's what you trying to get out. So if you can get in there you can clear that that the cable casing off around that portion, usually you can then stick that pen in there and it pops right out.

So if it doesn't work that quick for you to begin with that's what I'd start with first. Just take something and just clean around in there try to get that casing out the best you can. Once you get that cleared out a little bit, put that pen in there, sometimes it takes up to 20 times of sticking it in there. Sometimes you just want to push it in there as hard as you can and then pull as quick as you can. Don't pull  slow, just a quick jerk.

So I hope it helps.

How Much Do Small YouTubers Make?

So, is it possible for a small time YouTuber to make any money? I put together some information from my channels that I thought I would share with you all to answer that question.

Before we start, in order to make money, you first need to make sure you have an AdSense account linked to your channel and your videos are enabled for monetization.

How much money you make can really depend on your channel niche.

And it really depends on your audiences engagement with your ads on how much you make.

So lets look at my channels. Here is the channel I enjoy the most, my Simple Man channel. It's more of a personal vlog type channel and I don't do this channel to make a lot of money, I just have fun doing it and that's why I do it. But I have monetization enabled on it because who doesn't like to make money doing what you enjoy right?

I started this channel in November of 2016 for reference. Also feel free to subscribe if you haven't already!

So far I have only got 8140 views on this channel and my revenue totals $6.36. Which comes out to about 1 penny for every 13 views I get.

Now let's take a look at one I do for my profession, educational technology. I started this channel in December of 2016.

Here is a breakdown of this channel for the last 90 days.
In that time, I've gotten 8842 views and a total revenue of $18.81.
Most of my views come from one video which really took off. It has 6286 views so far.
And it has made me $12.83. So for me channel I've made a total of $18.81 over 8842 views, or in other words I make 1 penny for every 5 views, better than on my vlog channel of 1 penny for every 13 views.

The one video that took off has very similar numbers, I make about 1 penny for every 5 views.
Now I have a secret channel, and I am going to keep it a secret because it's a simple channel, that's easy to create content for, requires little work and has a good payout per views. In other words, I don't want someone to copy it. I started it 10 days ago.

It has several videos on it, but here is one of them.

In 10 days it got 393 views and made $1.33 or about 1 penny for every 3 views. Much better than my vlog channel and my technology channel. I think the reason is because the ads that run on this channel are actually really engaging and entertaining.

Well guys that's all I have to show you on my channel, but if you are curious about other YouTubers, check out socailblade.com. This will allow you to see how other channels are doing, though the earnings can't be 100% true because of other factors. But for my channels, they are right in line.

Well there you have it guys. You can make some money all while having fun. But the most important thing is to have fun!
